I heard a really loud, low-flying airplane go over the house today. At least, I thought that's what it was until it lingered longer than normal planes (we must be in the flight path for the small regional airport nearby) and had a different type of sound. Ethan and I went to the window to look for it AND WE SAW THE GOODYEAR BLIMP! It was insanely close to our house - really low - just over the treetops behind our garage by the time we ran out on the deck. I scooped up the children and pushed them out the door to the deck to make sure they got a chance to see it before it meandered south towards the sod farm behind our lot.
I think I was way more excited about seeing it than the children were. It interrupted a Goldfish snack, so . . .
