Children's literature

We made a quick stop at the library yesterday to pick up my waiting list copy of Breaking Dawn. Since the children had begged to "walk and obey, walk and obey," meaning be loose in public without the encumbrance of that pesky stroller, we cruised through the children's section.
What was the first book to catch their eye?
Oh, yes! This is a real book and successful series. The wikipedia entry is quite amusing.
I don't think I've told you about going to my high school reunion back in the fall. At the reunion, I discovered that one of my former classmates is in the publishing industry. Specifically, he is involved in the production of the popular Junie B. Jones series. All of the moms seemed to be impressed. I didn't know who Junie B. was. Anyway, I'm imagining how different that conversation would have been if the discussion had centered around this Walter character instead of Junie B.
That's all for now. I need to find out more about the "Bonus Jonas."

I have seen that book, but have yet to read it! Gotta love that title! ;o)

When I am visiting my momma, she always has my younger cousins' (little girls about ages 8 to 10) books laying around somewhere. Last time I was there, I was hard up for something to read and the only thing I could find was some Junie B. Jones books! Haha! So I laid in bed reading those...hehe!

I'm loving the "walk and obey" bit! That's great!
