Plants, plants, plants!

We had such a great day at a charity plant sale this weekend! (Well, until my allergies started kicking in full-force.)

Yes, I was the one sneezing while saying, "Be gentle with the plants!! Don't step on the plants!! Don't pick the flowers!!" Moms, don't you get sick of hearing your own voice sometimes?

We had a little incident where a woman overheard the plant sale worker's suggestions to us, then swooped in to buy every single plant that he had suggested! No biggie, though, since it's for charity. My two 3-year-olds have all the time in the world to wait patiently for us to start over and make a decision on different plants.
"Me, too!"

We also walked around in the Arboretum, looking at the different plants and trees.

I saw this sign after the fact, since we came in through a different entrance. It says, "Photographers are welcome, but please do not move benches or labels, stage children in trees or plantings, or block pathways with equipment."

It also says, "Do not pick or remove anything from the Arboretum."

Have you seen this yet? It's an always-pink hydrangea! It's my dream plant, because I don't like the blue/purple ones. I don't like blue Christmas lights, either.Afterwards, we enjoyed lunch at my favorite Middle Eastern cafe, and watched a train go by. Ethan likes trains; Ellie thinks they are too loud. The conductor waved at them as he passed.

Simple pleasures.
I hope each of you had a wonderful weekend!

Those pictures are so cute! I love the one where she "is staged in the tree". :)
