How Amy Got Her (Knitting) Groove Back aka Had to take a vacation to get some knitting done

Cool weather and slightly more independent preschoolers (I've been told they are long past being called toddlers) have prompted a renewed interest in knitting this season. I've had sporadic bursts of knitting activity, and even knitted a cardigan for Ellie last winter, but never seemed to have the mental energy or desire to stick with it until lately. Oh, the cardigan from last year still didn't have buttons on it until now, since it was too big for her, and when I put it on her upon completion, she ran away saying, "No, no, no!"

This time, I think it started with Heather finding and sharing the Legwarmies link with me.

Then, I logged back into Ravelry, and remembered how much I love that site. I mean LOVE!!! Seriously, if you knit or crochet and you're not on Ravelry, DO IT NOW!!! (This is not a paid endorsement.) Then, I went on vacation and cranked out some serious knitting on the cross-country flights.

So if you're wondering what I've been up to lately, I'm still trying to figure out how to blog, read blogs and knit all at the same time.

I'm still too afraid to try the cardigan, but I love yours, so maybe I'll just suck it up and dive in!

I just learned the knit stitch and that purl one too. Just last week. Right now I am making something that is rectangular-ish. But someday, maybe, I hope to make something beautiful like a cardigan. That would be fun!

You go girl! Glad you have gotten back to one of your old hobbies. I remember the felted purse you helped me with. That was my last project. I LOVE Ellie's bonnet. Very cute. Can't wait to see your other projects.
