Isn't it a pain to have to wrangle pins when you're sewing?
The children each made a magnetic pin dish to solve the problem!
These would work well for paper clips, binder clips, or anything else you can think of that works with magnets.
This was a great craft to try with the children, but would be fine for adults to do, too!

Can I just say how brilliant this is. I've been needing a new pin storage place - but I never take the time when I am sewing to put them in a cushion....so they get thrown on my sewing table and topple to the floor and I step on them....this idea is just what I need. Did you use just a regular magnet - or something extra strong to hold through the plate? Totally needing to do this one.
