Our strawberry picking class trip was originally postponed because of rain, so the children were especially happy that the rescheduled date worked out. The day was warm and sunny, and the strawberries were abundant.
One of Ethan's classmates started calling him "Strawberry-Master," since he was an exceptionally fast picker.
When the farm employee heard us talking about it, he threatened to put Ethan to work,
which gave me a flash of panic as I recalled my short time as a paid strawberry picker. Worst job ever.
