Of course they want to feed, pet, cuddle the alpacas!
Surprisingly, no one has said, "Mommy, I wish to have a baby alpaca!" (That's what they say about meerkats after watching the movie or a visit to the zoo or the ballpark. They didn't think it was funny when I jokingly told them, "Maybe Jesus thought you said, 'I wish to have a baby!' and didn't catch the meerkat part.")
Anyway, the alpaca viewing was part of the Got to Be NC AgFest, which was like a miniature version of our State Fair.
Loyda, who is shy around animals, even enjoyed feeding and petting the alpacas!

At first I didn't think these were real! I have a friend in VA who raises these, but I've never been to their farm. I think it must be a side trip sometime this fall when we go visit Corey & Nicole!
Remind me that this is town next year - I'd love to go.
