Knee-nuts

The children are sitting in my lap right now, pointing at these pictures and exclaiming, "Knee-nuts!" I'm not sure why they say the word "doughnuts" this way, but I think it's very cute.
They both woke up super early on Saturday, so Randy thought it would be fun to show Ellie where doughnuts come from. As you may remember from my earlier post, Ethan has already seen the doughnuts being made, so he sauntered into the shop with zero hesitation.

Ellie hesitantly examined her doughnut, while Ethan chowed down.
He has also learned to pose for pictures. Who taught my children to say, "Say cheese, please!" when facing a camera? This is not a phrase I typically use with them. It could be worse. (For example, I don't call people "doofus," but they heard that on the radio recently - on 2 different occasions - from a well-known political commentator.)

Doughnut heaven

Lastly, we saw the source of all HOT DOUGHNUTS NOW, which was only moderately exciting after eating a few doughnuts.
Also, when we were getting in the car, Ethan asked for golf. Creature of habit?
