How much would you pay for this?

Mom asks this when she finds a bargain and brings it home to show off. The question doesn't work as intended if the respondent doesn't play along. The second best part of bargain shopping is telling someone about your find in order to appreciate the value (and your skill as a bargain shopper) together. Also, there's a difference between how much one would pay for something and how much one thinks fair value would be for said item.

Look what I found while on our trip! This lovely pillow has a nice cushy insert and a zipper! Price? $36.99 MINUS 90%!!! I never find anything good discounted this deeply, until now. You can't even get a pillow insert for that!

My new favorite store is Hobby Lobby! During my recent visit it was relaxing to browse - pleasant music, tidy merchandise, no duds to sift through to get to the good stuff. I decided while there that it is the perfect store for me because they have craft things I like, and the home decor selection is nicely edited. For example, the home decor fabric was a very small area, but each choice was nice. It could have only been better if I had bumped into Nester and Emily there. Oh, and saying Hobby Lobby is fun, too. It just rolls off the tongue.

I was excited about my twice-yearly visit to Garden Ridge. Sadly, this visit was different. I don't know a nice way to say it, so Garden Ridge was junky compared to Hobby Lobby. Why is Garden Ridge selling stacks of irregular Levi's and hospital scrubs? That's not my definition of home decor; however, if faced with a Design Star-style challenge, I'm sure I could come up with something.)
