Buffalo Stance

This restaurant has been in our area for a while.

While Randy parked the car, I walked in with Ethan and saw this while waiting for our table.

Oh, no! THAT IS TED??? We are faced with a moral and ethical dilemma. I so did not want to support Ted's restaurant, but wanted to try bison. Ted, I wanted to hate your burgers and to have no reason to set foot in your establishment ever again.

We ate lunch. Our server told us that American Bison evolved from Asian Bison. She brought the children cucumber slices to eat while waiting for our food. We drank with paper straws that have a half-life of 5 minutes. Ellie washed her hands with powdered soap. Ethan played with wikki stix.

The verdict: our meals were excellent. Randy had the Green & Hot Bison Burger. I had the New Mexico Bison Burger. The children shared grilled salmon, green beans, and fries (a kid's meal!!).

By the way, Randy asked for a "plastic bag" to contain our doggie boxes (i.e. "Bio-Plus Earth Containers, which are high-quality, bio-degradable containers"). Smooth!

I, too, feel the same about Ted Turner and felt the same as I ate their the first time. Ted's Montana Grill is one of my favorite restaurants. It is a very nice restaurant and bison meat is good. My favorite meal there is the pecan crusted trout. SOOO good. I get asparagus as the side. Their chili with bison is delicious, too. The food is really good and a nice family place. I like that Ted's political views are not anywhere to be seen in the restaurant.

BTW: I wanted to hate it, too, but I couldn't.

Okay, so every time I go, my food has been "just okay." But, darnit!, I keep going back because of the straws and that Boraxo soap in the bathroom! And the fabulous pendant lights. And the coziness of those booths.
