Earning my nickname

Since Carpoolqueen has dubbed me her "Yarn Whisperer," I really need to crank out some more projects. Nothing like an ambitious nickname to get you motivated!

Here's what I've been working on lately:

Wrenna, from French Girl Knits. The only problem is that I really, really have to concentrate on the chart part. Ellie asked me, "Mommy, what does concentrate mean?" I definitely can't work on this while watching 24 or Lost or Burn Notice or Project Runway. (Are you watching Burn Notice? Love it! It's one part A-Team without Mr. T, one part Miami Vice, two parts Alias.)

This is the body of the Best Friend Cardigan. I finally found some buttons that will work, so I just need to attach the sleeves and sew on the buttons. Yawn.

Next up has to be a hat for Ethan. He asked in the sweetest little voice, "When you finish making that sweater, will you make me a hat?" Yes, but it won't be ready today.

Ellie wants a pink scarf and a pink hat and a pink sweater. My reply, "We'll talk about it after you wear the pink sweater and pink hat I already made for you."

What an amazing sweater you've made. I love it and your nickname!
I used to knit years ago, you've inspired me to try it again!

Girl, you're just too good! I can't believe you made all that cool stuff!! I'll be lucky to finish up my plain ol' scarf. I want to learn something harder now. Can't wait to see more of your projects!

Can I say how much I appreciate your patience with me???? I think it's starting to pay off.

I JOINED SOMETHING IN THE ROUND the other day without having to call you.

Sweet!

Waah! I want a yarn whisperer. Although I don't think knitting would be a good craft for me. For one reason, I just had to edit that last sentence because I'd typed "yarning" instead of "knitting." I don't even know what to call it much less do it.
