You say it's your birthday. It's my birthday, too!

The wintry weather forecast caused some uncertainty about our plans to surprise the children with a birthday party. Thankfully, we were able to celebrate, and the guests of honor were not iced out!

Kudos to The Cupcake Shoppe for such cute and yummy treats: lemon with trains for Ethan, and strawberry with crowns for Ellie.

How do you surprise children after a week of snow days and constant togetherness? They went to grandma's house for the weekend, returning to find the party! Ellie is still asking me, "Why were Mimi and Poppy hiding when we came home?"
