Found on the side of the road at the beach last year, this will be Ethan's bed. It was originally black. The dead hard drive lost my real "before" pictures, so this picture is an "in progress."
This is an "after" lamp sitting on a "before" nightstand in the room with "before" walls. The lamp used to be pastel (again, the hard drive lost the "before" pictures). One quick coat of glossy blue spray paint plus a new shade, and it's new again!
I've put off painting the nightstand, mainly because I haven't totally convinced myself that it should be white.
This table was a Goodwill find. It will most likely be a white nightstand for Ellie's room. I tried to loosen the trim, but it's firmly attached and I don't want to risk damaging the top. It has shabby chic potential.
I'll spare you the rest of my "to do" list of unfinished projects for now. The weather is warmer; the pollen will be gone soon. It's spray paint season!
Update 5/8/09: Despite an allergy setback, I've primed the larger nightstand and a small table I picked up earlier in the week. I ran out of primer before I could do the smaller nightstand. 4 cans of white semi-gloss are waiting for action.
