Look snow!

While Randy was getting the children out of their rooms this morning, I got all set up with the camera at the bottom of the steps. What fun! I would capture their excitement as they caught their first glimpse of the freshly-fallen blanket of snow outside. He didn't know this.

Sadly, as I eagerly waited for them to come down the steps, much like the paparazzi wait for Britney to emerge from a convenience store with a Red Bull, I heard them exclaim, "Snow! It snowed!" He had told them to pull back the curtains and look out the window upstairs! I still got reactions, but not the fantastic ones I had hoped for.

All they could talk about on the way out to play was eating the snow, which must have been one of the more memorable elements of our previous snow play outings.

Also, as we played I was reminded of Judges 7, the story of how God divided Gideon's army according to how they drank from the river. Some cupped their hands to drink.
Others knelt down and drank directly from the river.
