Ethan has a cold and cough, and his nap yesterday was cut short by coughing fits. He spent the rest of naptime under the first and only quilt I've made. There is something about tucking in my sweet, pitiful boy under a cozy homemade quilt that gave me warm fuzzies. Thank you, Mom, for teaching me how to do so many kinds of crafts!
Although the timing was not the best, Randy and I had a reservation to attend a house concert last night. Jill Phillips and Andy Gullahorn performed in a home for an audience of 75 people. This was the first house concert we've attended, and after getting over the initial weirdness of "I'm in a total stranger's living room!" it was awesome! I particularly enjoyed hearing the stories behind the songs in such an intimate setting.

I tried to learn to quilt. It was a disaster and it made me appreciate those who can do it all the more. I just love quilts!
I've never been to a house concert, but they look like a lot of fun! I can see how it would feel a little awkward at first, but didn't you kind of feel like a celebrity at a private concert?
